About ICM Missionaries
Bob and Jan Maclean have been missionaries to Indonesia since 1974. Previous to committing his life to the mission field, Bob was educated at San Jose Bible College, Pacific Christian College and Fuller Theological Seminary, receiving degrees from each of these institutions. During, and following his educational activities, Bob served as minister to Churches in Illinois and California.
He married Janice Ledbetter. Four children were born of this union and went with Bob and Jan to Indonesia where they were reared. In addition to these four children, Bob and Jan adopted a child in Indonesia. Their children are now all adults and are employed in Christian service, law enforcement and business. They have given the MacLeans 14 grandchildren. Their son, Michael, wife, Corrin and five children reside in Salatiga, Central Java where Michael is teaching music at the Christian
Under the auspice of Indonesian Christian Mission
ICM, Bob is currently Vice President of Field Activities for the Mission. He and Jan are at home in the subdivision Bukit Indah, town of Ciputat which is a suburb of Jakarta.
The work continues. ICM leaders are teaching Bible studies in home cell study groups. These studies are designed to help people learn God's word and apply it to their lives. They are then encouraged to teach the
Good News to others.
Bob is also working with Berlian. Together they are working on
The Scheme of Redemption, (rencana penebusan), work books for evangelists to teach in villages. We hope to make these books available for evangelists
going out among village leaders and in their home villages. We hope that
rencana penebusan will make teaching more affordable for bible college students.
